Esther Olsson is a Melbourne-based artist known for bold, colourful paintings and illustrated designs that turn everyday stories into joyful, collectible art. Her stylistic method incorporates a complementary integration of the grid system and reference to coded stories that use image repetition to tell stories about her own experiences and day-to-day life. As a Melbourne-based artist, her recurring figures, painted in gouache and bold colour represent protection, empowerment, ambition, envy, and emotion. The intention is to create joyous, light-hearted original artwork that reflects her philosophy: approach to life with a sense of humour and joviality.
